I’d like to welcome you to the world of Randy’s Rides, a place where we’ll show you the people, sites and roads of America we have encountered while touring on various motorcycles. We’ll be covering the routes we have taken, alternative roads for those same trips (even though no trips are ever the same!) suggesting stops for rest, recreation and the restaurants we chose along the way. Additionally, we will be offering our somewhat biased reviews of the different motorcycles and gear we encounter in our travels.
Your hosts for Randy’s Rides are Randy and his wife and riding partner of 35 years Tricia. While Tricia has had her own bikes in the past, she now prefers to enjoy riding from the co-pilot seat behind me. We are based in Idaho, some of the greatest riding country in this great nation, where the motorcyclist is blessed with great weather, beautiful scenery and long stretches of two-lane road with very little traffic.
We will be taking you down some of our favorite roads here in Idaho, sharing the ins and outs of day tripping and extended trips from easy access points in the state before we venture out into the surrounding states. This year, we will tour the famous Lowman Loop, roll through the jagged beauty of the Sawtooth Mountains and world-famous Sun Valley. As a winter sideline, we have a short trip planned in southern Arizona, to be discussed in our next post. We hope you join us!
